Description:
When you play Tantrix for the first time you rapidly begin to understand why it won 'Puzzle of the Year 2000' in Australia and 'Best New Game' at the Paris Toy Fair. It is a hugely enjoyable way to develop strategic thinking, spatial ability, problem solving and memory skills and is perfect for both adults and children.
The basic idea behind all of the games in the Tantrix collection is to arrange the tiles to form loops of either red, blue or yellow (although these colours differ in Tantrix “Extreme”). It sounds incredibly simple, and to start with it is! However, it becomes more and more difficult the larger the loop you try to create. Therefore, everyone can have a go at Tantrix – from young children to the Mathematics professor who has two PHDs and a Nobel prize!
Tantrix Discovery has 12 bakelite tiles (measuring approximately 4.5cm across) and contains ten solitaire puzzles with the aim being to make ever increasing loops of different colours. The simplest puzzle uses just three tiles and each tile added leads to a new, harder puzzle so it gets more and more challenging.
Available in 3 different colour schemes - marbled green, classic black or marbled white.
Weight
The puzzle / game weighs approximately 0.14 Kg.
